Program Overview

Programming

During the ten-week program, Inspired Investment Interns will join us full-time in-person at our NYC office in Union Square. Our interns split their time between three primary responsibilities: (1) sourcing new investments, (2) writing investment theses, and (3) driving new firm initiatives. We also expect and encourage our interns to get involved with other opportunities on an adhoc basis including executing on firm events, supporting portfolio companies, helping with diligence processes, and creating value-additive content.

Investment Interns will be staffed by Claire, who manages all student opportunities at Inspired, but will work directly with all members of Inspired, including our Partners, Principals, and Platform team. On Fridays, the Inspired Investment Intern will join our Summer Fellows for our exclusive educational and social events (i.e., workshops on startup math, rooftop dinners, fireside chat with best-in-class founders).

Outcomes

We expect our Investment Interns to complete this program with the following benefits:

  1. Firsthand experience with thesis-driven venture investing and unique exposure to the investing process
  2. Hands-on mentorship and detailed guidance from the Inspired Capital Investment Team
  3. Exposure to entirety of the deal flow process and various fund operations of an early-stage venture firm
  4. Rigorous training on investment thesis writing and early-stage sourcing
  5. A deep curiosity for technology and funding the next big thing

Logistics

The Summer 2023 program will officially kick off on Monday, June 6 and culminate during the week of August 13. This internship is in-person in NYC and fellows are responsible for securing their own housing. Investment Interns will be provided with a stipend for the summer. You can find more details below.

Responsibilities & Expectations

The Inspired Investment Internship is open to any undergraduate student that is enrolled in a U.S. college or postsecondary institution in Fall 2023. No prior investing or venture experience is required. We see incredible value in learning from a diversity of perspectives and welcome all students with a deep curiosity for technology to apply. We are looking for students who are deeply committed to working hard and sharpening their investor lens.
